Feel authentic joy in your accomplishments and believe the compliments people give you.
But if you're like most high-achievers I know, you have difficulty accepting a compliment and pausing to genuinely celebrate yourself. You've operated like this for so long that you might believe this is "just the way it is".
It is infuriating, exhausting, and depressing to deny yourself the joy of enjoying your accomplishments. Maybe it has gotten so bad that you have stopped pursuing new relationships and opportunities because you don't feel worthy of what you already have.
PSSST - If these sound familiar, this is textbook 'Imposter Syndrome'
Despite leading test operations for NASA missions and military and Homeland Security projects for over fifteen years, I could never bring myself to celebrate my and my teams' accomplishments.
I can remember standing on a stage on the verge of tears almost 20 years ago, receiving a letter of commendation from the Department of Defense for a project that I was a key lead on for multiple years.
I was terrified that when they called my name, they were going to say:
"John, we finally realized you don't deserve this because you've been BS'ing us all these years."
Eventually, I decided there had to be a more fulfilling way to exist. For the past 10 years, I have worked with coaches and counselors and have done the work to understand my authentic self.
I have built the resilience to turn down the volume of Imposter Syndrome to feel the joy of all the hard work I put into my life, my loved ones, and my community.
Today, I want to share the skills I've learned to arrive at a place of joy and fulfillment to help you achieve the same in a matter of hours
I've distilled over a decade of personal development into four phases to help you uncover the layers of self-doubt in your life.
If you don't understand the various ways self-doubt shows up, it will change tactics and you will still be left numb and unable to enjoy what you have worked for.
I've developed three ways to share what I've learned over my 46 years to quiet Imposter Syndrome ranging from self-paced online work to a deep-dive with one-on-one coaching with me into understanding yourself and another package in-between.
If that sounds like that would be of benefit to you, I'd love to share more information on a free call.
I think back to all of the compliments, accomplishments, and special events in my life that were overshadowed by my intense belief that I didn't deserve them. I can't get those moments back, but I am enjoying the hell out of the new moments in my life.
I want YOU to enjoy your hard-earned work.
My six-pillar blueprint begins with understanding who you are, guiding you through setting your vision, and ultimately taking action that is in alignment with your authentic self.
