MASTER THE ART OF EMBRACING YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Feel authentic joy in your accomplishments and believe the  compliments people give you.

You have always been a high-achiever ....

AND YOU SHOULD BE AUTHENTICALLY CELEBRATING ALL THE POSITIVE IMPACT YOU CREATE!

But if you're like most high-achievers I know, you have difficulty accepting a compliment and pausing to genuinely celebrate yourself. You've operated like this for so long that you might believe this is "just the way it is".

It is infuriating, exhausting, and depressing to deny yourself the joy of enjoying your accomplishments. Maybe it has gotten so bad that you have stopped pursuing new relationships and opportunities because you don't feel worthy of what you already have.

SEE IF THIS SOUNDS FAMILIAR.....

Instead of enjoying the positivity poured into you, you replace those wonderful words with:

  • "I'm a fake"
You might feel like you've been fooling everyone for so long, and "the truth" will catch up to you.
  • "I don't actually know what I'm doing"
People look to you as an expert, but you feel like a fraud because you feel like you're making it up as you go along.
  • "I got lucky"
The only reason you go to where you are is because you were in the right place at the right time
  • "Anyone could do what I do"
Things come so naturally to you that you feel like it is "too easy". You don't give yourself credit for the years of experience you have and  the unique skill sets you have

PSSST - If these sound familiar, this is textbook 'Imposter Syndrome'

I get it...

Despite leading test operations for NASA missions and military and Homeland Security projects for over fifteen years, I could never bring myself to celebrate my and my teams' accomplishments.

I can remember standing on a stage on the verge of tears almost 20 years ago, receiving a letter of commendation from the Department of Defense for a project that I was a key lead on for multiple years.

I was terrified that when they called my name, they were going to say:

"John, we finally realized you don't deserve this because you've been BS'ing us all these years."

One of the letters of commendation I received. This & other awards stayed in a desk drawer for years

Eventually, I decided there had to be a more fulfilling way to exist. For the past 10 years, I have worked with coaches and counselors and have done the work to understand my authentic self.

I have built the resilience to turn down the volume of Imposter Syndrome to feel the joy of all the hard work I put into my life, my loved ones, and my community.

Today, I want to share the skills I've learned to arrive at a place of joy and fulfillment to help you achieve the same in a matter of hours

How did I undo decades of self-deprecating tendencies?

I Discovered the Depth of my Self-doubt

I've distilled over a decade of personal development into four phases to help you uncover the layers of self-doubt in your life.

If you don't understand the various ways self-doubt shows up, it will change tactics and you will still be left numb and unable to enjoy what you have worked for.

  1. Understand what Imposter Syndrome is
  2. Identify the personal, professional, and financial costs of letting Imposter Syndrome a shadow over all of the amazing things in your life
  3. Assess ways Imposter Syndrome is showing up in ways that you don’t even know
  4. Quiet the negative voice in your mind with practical and robust skills

If you follow this proven process, here's what you're set to gain.

  1.  Confidence:
You will know your worth, and new ventures, new experiences, and new experiences will energize and excite you.
  2.  A new way of being :
You will show up in the world differently and will show up for yourself in a more positive way.
  3. Joy:
You will be present and will experience the fullness of soul-satisfying happiness when you are given a compliment
  4. Reduced Stress:
You will believe you have earned the right to be "in the room" - no more worrying about being "found out as a fake"

WHY DO I DO THIS WORK?

I think back to all of the compliments, accomplishments, and special events in my life that were overshadowed by my intense belief that I didn't deserve them. I can't get those moments back, but I am enjoying the hell out of the new moments in my life.

I want YOU to enjoy your hard-earned work.
